At the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing, our longstanding mission is to champion healthy living. We believe the key to successful weight loss is a multi-faceted approach that focuses on learning new habits, while providing the proper education and tools needed for long-term success. Regardless of your age, lifestyle or health condition, our weight management programs are customized to your goals, interests and most importantly, what works best for you.

Supervised Weight Loss program

At the Center for Health & Wellbeing, our staff believes in a philosophy of overall health and wellness through an individualized program for each and every client. Our team of experts specializes in the fields of weight loss, nutrition, exercise, disease management and behavioral change. Their goal is to educate, motivate and guide clients toward an overall improvement in health and permanent weight loss.

Prior to your first visit, you will complete a health history form and a three-day food log. This allows the registered dietitian to better understand you and your needs before you even step into her office. At your first visit, she will complete an assessment to evaluate your physical health, determine your individual needs and then develop a vision plan that includes short-term and long-term goals. In addition, she will create a program that combines evidence-based practices in nutrition, physical activity and behavioral change.

The registered dietitian will meet with you regularly to monitor, encourage and support you in reaching your weight loss goals and work with the rest of your medical team to communicate your progress.

Our weight loss program is unique in many ways, including the fact that we do not use pre-packaged food or meal replacements. Instead the program focuses on educating you with the correct nutritional guidelines and encouraging appropriate physical activity. Your plan will be customized to your age, health and the nutritional guidelines that are appropriate for everyday life and ensure long-term success.
